CSRD: A path towards sustainability and transparency
Inission´s chain of value.
The EU’s new legislation Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) places new demands on how companies should report on their sustainability work. For us at Inission, we see it not only as a legal requirement, but for us it is also an important opportunity to show how we work for a sustainable future. Our ambition is to always provide a clear and detailed picture of our operations, says Inission’s Sustainability Manager Pernilla Löfkvist.
The value chain in focus
“In accordance with CSRD, we have conducted an internal risk assessment and a double materiality analysis. These steps are central to identifying and understanding how our operations affect the environment, society, and economy. The analysis is made on the entire value chain from raw materials and transport to manufacturing and final recycling.”
What does the future hold?
“We have conducted a climate scenario analysis in which we examined two future scenarios, partly if the Paris Agreement is fulfilled, and partly “business as usual”. The conclusions are clear: to reduce our climate impact, we must continue to make smart and feasible improvements in our processes. It is a journey we cannot do alone, and we are determined to take on this challenge together with all our stakeholders.”
Measurable sustainability crucial
“To be able to measure and reduce our climate impact, we have implemented a systematic collection of Greenhouse Gas data (GHG) according to the greenhouse gas protocol. All our units contribute to this process, and we also continue to systematically simplify and streamline the collection to ensure that we do it in the best viable way.”
Transparent, clear, and relevant
“We are now working intensively on implementing the most essential data points in accordance with both CSRD and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standard). This means that we will be able to report in a way that is always transparent, clear, and relevant to all our customers and stakeholders,” concludes Pernilla Löfkvist.

Facts CSRD:
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is an EU law that requires companies to report on their sustainability work, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects. The law aims to increase transparency and accountability among companies and provide stakeholders with better insights into the companies’ long-term impact and sustainability goals.
