Inission Tallinn shows the way as the EMS and MEC leader in the Baltics

With 15 years of operation on the Estonian market, Inission now shows the way in how to provide leading end-to-end electromechanics manufacturing. But what is the key to this success? We met Sales Manager Allan Saariste for a short interview to learn more about Inission in Tallinn.

Many of your customers have been customers for a long time, what is the key to success?
– That´s true and I think our customers choose us because of our reliable services and ability to adapt to their specific needs. Our goal is also to always build important and strong, long-term personal relationships.

Effective contract manufacturing requires a high level of competence, what can you tell us about your staff?
– We are immensely proud of our team, and they bring a wealth of experience in electronics manufacturing, with skills ranging from engineering and design to production and quality assurance. Our team is adept at handling complex and customized projects, providing innovative solutions, and maintaining highest production standards. We are also proud of our supportive workplace culture that is encouraging continuous learning and development of all our staff.

What do you think are the main strengths at the Tallinn unit?
– I´m glad to say that our unit is known for our flexible approach, customer-centric solutions, and ability to manage complex projects with fast turnaround times. This includes our extraordinarily strong engineering support, high-quality manufacturing, and a wide range of services under one roof. We also offer a unique and personal approach to meet specific customer needs, supported by our dedicated and skilled teams and our modern equipment.

Do you focus on any special segment?
– In Tallinn, we primarily serve clients in the Baltic and Nordic countries and our customers come from various segments, including industrial automation, telecommunications, medical devices, and products within electrification.

What differs Inission from your competitors in Estonia?
– Unlike several of our competitors, we can manage the entire product lifecycle under one roof, which simplifies the process for our clients and reduces time-to-market. I also think that our focus on continuous improvement and innovative technologies is another reason for keeping us at the forefront of the industry.

What are your next steps for Inission Tallin?
– We recently invested heavily into our MEC capabilities e.g. a new combi-laser, a robot bending cell and a bending machine with automatic tool exchanger. These investments increased our capacity significantly. Now, our main goal is to continue expanding our capabilities and strengthening our position as a leading EMS and MEC provider. For example, recently, we proudly announced new investment plans focusing on automation, digitalisation, and improved efficiency.

Inission in Stockholm grows within NPI

Inission in Stockholm continues its investments in NPI (New Product Introduction) and has invested in a new reflow oven and a new surface mounting machine to meet an increasing demand for NPI services and at the same time increase quality and supply.

– The investments also enable more efficient handling of complex cards with a large number of components, says Mats Persson, Project Manager at Inission in Stockholm.

Safe and smooth transfer to production after the prototype stage
The new reflow oven, an SMT R320, was installed in the NPI line during the month of June. The oven is of the same model used in series production, which ensures fast and accurate transfer to production after prototype run. Recently, a new MY300DX-17 surface mounting machine was also installed in the same line as the new furnace.

Strengthening our NPI team
-NPI services are important to our customers and the new investments further strengthen our NPI team in Stockholm, while more companies now have access to even more efficient NPI services in their immediate vicinity, says Sales & Marketing Director Fredric Grahn.

Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and Malmö City visited Inission Syd in Malmö

Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), led by chairman Jacob Wallenberg, visited Inission Syd in Malmö in September together with representatives from the city of Malmö.

During the visit, Inission Syd’s CEO, Carl Lidén, had the opportunity to present the business and highlight important topics such as competence supply within the electronics industry, the need for Swedish-produced electronics products and the importance of seeing contract manufacturing, not just as a producer, but as a competent “advisory board” that adds great value.

– We would like to extend a big thank you to Jacob Wallenberg, chairman of Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, Patrik Utas, Senior Associate Investor, Oscar Rauer, political secretary Malmö, Johan Dahlén, Regional Director of Confederation of Swedish Enterprise Skåne and Blekinge and Erik Ageberg, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise Skåne and Blekinge. It was a rewarding visit with many interesting conversations.

We look forward to more activities and continued conversations about how we together lift the region and Sweden’s electronics manufacturing industry, says Inission Syd’s CEO, Carl Lidén.
