Inission Løkken AS (“Inission Løkken”), part of the Inission Group, has signed a collaboration agreement with Norwegian deep-tech company InMind AS to develop and implement flexible robotic solutions in Inission Løkken’s electronics manufacturing operations.
The collaboration aims to relieve production staff from repetitive tasks, strengthen production capacity, and address recruitment challenges in the industry, through robotic solutions designed for high-mix, low-volume production. The partnership is structured in several phases, with pilot projects during 2026 and expected productivity effects towards the end of the year.
About the collaboration
Through the collaboration, InMind gains access to an operational production environment for the development and validation of its technology. Inission Løkken, in turn, gets the opportunity to evaluate and implement a solution tailored to its production profile, while contributing insights from its operational activities.
– Recruitment challenges and occupational health risks related to repetitive tasks are a reality in our industry. Traditional robotic solutions have had limited value in our production environment, where we frequently switch between many product variants. InMind’s approach better fits our reality. Their technology reduces the cost of training systems for new tasks and makes it possible to use the same robot across multiple production lines without the long programming cycles required by traditional solutions, says Erik Dragset, Managing Director Inission Løkken.
– For InMind, this collaboration is an important milestone. Inission is a demanding and highly competent partner with a deep understanding of advanced electronics manufacturing. The partnership gives us continuous feedback from a real production environment. Through this collaboration, we want to demonstrate how our technology can multiply the productivity of those performing the work, says Torgeir Trøite, CEO InMind.
