On March 23, 2023, Inission Malmö AB changed its name to Inission Syd AB. Inission Syd AB is now being merged with Inission Borås AB and takes the name Inission Syd AB. The merger and name change for Inission Borås AB is expected to take place around May 8, 2023.
– Since 2022, Borås and Malmö have worked closely together. At the turn of the last year, joint management was introduced and recently the ERP systems were also integrated. The proximity to the customers in the region and the shared excellence in the manufacturing of medical technology, optical and audio equipment provide both an additional strength and risk minimization for our stakeholders. The merger facilitates our daily work and can be simply summed up in that we become better together, says Carl Lidén Managing Director Inission Syd AB.
The operations of the two companies are merged into one operation and one legal entity through a so-called merger. Since 1 September 2022, Inission Borås AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Inission Syd AB. The merger therefore takes place through an absorption of a wholly owned subsidiary. The Borås company’s current corporate number thus ceases after the completed merger.
Operations will continue to be conducted at the two production facilities in Borås and Malmö. The merged companies today have a common overall administration and management. During 2022, cross-border work between the units has been ongoing, which has been beneficial for developing both operations. The new joint company will have a turnover of approximately SEK 370 million and the number of employees will amount to approximately 110 people.
